Community Tasting Notes 7

March 6, 2021 - Good nose, still fresh. The smooth palate shows fragrant lemon, tropical notes, good acidity, great length and balance, as before. Attractive from opening but it improved over a couple of hours and, as always, it was better as it warmed well above cellar temperature. Elegant but complex. Lovely on its own but good with food (roast chicken etc.). 90+

July 16, 2020 - Just an additional comment. Still good but it was too cold when first taken from the fridge and, not surprisingly, disappointed at first showing vegetal notes on the mid/late palate. Much better after an hour and when slightly below room temperature (cool rather than cold). Otherwise, my previous notes apply.
Actually, a quarter of the bottle was left in the fridge overnight and then left to warm up to a low-mid teens temp. It was excellent.

March 1, 2020 - Good nose. Lovely, fresh character with fragrant lemon and lime, herbs, tropical notes, great length and balance. Elegant Chardonnay with subtle oak influence from the barrel fermentation. Refined and very enjoyable. It improved after opening over a couple of hours and when closer to room temperature. Is nobody else tasting this wine? I seem to be the only commentator..... 90+

December 1, 2019 - It showed all the positive qualities described in my earlier notes. Drinking well. Better as it warmed closer to room temperature. Very good with pork tenderloin in a cream, mushroom, and mustard sauce.

July 9, 2019 - Presented to a tasting at Grand Union Wine Society and, later, to a specialist group. Lovely, characterful wine with all the positive qualities mentioned earlier. It went down very well on both occasions.
