September 8, 2019 - this was good but surprinsingly needed some time in the decanter to really open up. perhaps its in a bit of a close down phase? nevertheless this really came out with a bang once it opened up. tannins were relatively soft and the finish nice

July 31, 2019 - There is a bit more strictness and severity to the wine that is becoming more apparent over the years. The wine has power, loads of tannin, and the fruit is ripe, but the increasing austerity that is an issue with many 1995 Bordeaux wines is something to take note of.

July 16, 2019 - This was a difficult bottle, not as good as the one tasted in 2015 from the same cellar. The tannins were on the drier side, and the aromatics didn’t shine like they should in a Mouton. It was a meaty, masculine wine with good Pauillac typicity and some generosity and warmth, but tasting blind I did not guess that this was a Premier Grand Cru Classé.

June 14, 2019 - Agree with most of the recent comments which generally describe this wine as a little on the austere side. Still showing decent color with a fairly solid medium to dark purple. Nose is complex and the best part: graphite, earth, pencil, tobacco, all the nice elements there. But the wine strikes me as just a touch too soft on the fruit side, and a touch of acidity crept in toward the end even if drunk undecanted (though I had it open for about an hour). A very nice bottle to be sure, but I am rating this as having tasted blind, with no uplift for the name. I've tasted a lot of the 1995s and think they are generally 1) an underrated year but also 2) definitely approaching maturity, and this wine is not exception in that sense.

May 29, 2019 - This might be a great name, but it seems to me to be perfectly pleasant wine, well made, well balanced, plenty of life left, nose OK but not great. Colour red, clear and translucent. Taste OK but not phenominal. This was bought many years ago, is it worth the price it is now? I think there are plenty just as good for half or quarter the price
