August 30, 2023 - This was a pop and pour, and drank deliciously right out of the gate. Lots of darker fruits (black cherry and blueberry), pipe tobacco and noticeable yet pleasant tannins and acidity in balance. An adaptable food wine but also great as a standalone sipper. An excellent vintage of one of my favorite Chiantis. Wish we had more than just one left :(

July 25, 2023 - Clear medium red. Medium intense cherry, mint, loamy soil and berry nose. Dry tight cherry and dried mushroom flavours and a very tannic finish.

June 24, 2023 - Good drinker with food. Mid-palate acidity and easy finish. Full-bodied. But I think it could have done with a couple more years in the cellar.
