Community Tasting Notes 3

January 16, 2024 - Some fine sediment. Funky mushroomy aroma, with cherry behind. It smells older than it tastes -- moderate acidity, moderate tannin, flavors of cherry and chocolate, and a surprising cherry sweetness on the aftertaste. It was fine the following day, with lower acidity. I am slowly working through a case of mixed vintages of Chateau Millery, and the 2012 may be the most unusual and the most immediately drinkable -- open this one while you wait for the 2006, 2008, and 2011 to develop.

June 22, 2023 - Lots of wood here. Not new wood. Just lots of straight up wood characters. The fruit was very reserved or just not present enough to balance out the oak. Maybe closed or maybe just not good.

September 17, 2021 - Plums, blueberry, violets, gravel; smooth, balanced, elegant, velvety, good length, soft, very good
