May 24, 2020 - Thought at first that it would be a no-go. Upon opening, quite smoky and with a sour edge. After decanting and letting it sit for 30 - 40 minutes, this was quite good with our hangar steaks.
November 6, 2013 - Kim liked it. I thought the tannins had a slight bitter aftertaste
December 25, 2012 - Corked. Bummer
January 7, 2012 - Past it's prime. Not much on the nose. Flavors of chocolate and earth, very woodsy. I wish I had opened this a couple of years ago.
June 22, 2009 - very solid, enjoyed by all. not as classic as a top wine though
December 5, 2008 - Popped and poured. This bottle had something going on, a "dirty" flavor on the palate....definitely flawed.
March 14, 2008 - Good, not spectacular.
February 28, 2008 - Gibby's monthly tasting (Gibby's Wine Den, Geneva, IL): The Merlot component (85%) of the blend is sourced from vineyards in the Napa portion of Carneros. The remainder is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon (12%) and Petit Verdot (3%). Deep garnet color. Aromas of plum, minerla, chocolate and herbs. Flavors of dark fruit and minerals, finishing with an herbal quality.
December 28, 2006 - Decanted for one hour. Dark color, good balanced flavor with a decent finish. Would buy more for the $ 15 price.
