March 3, 2024 - Pure pale straw, lustrous.
Ripe tropical nose, hint of crushed herbs, citrus zest.
Sweet ripe tropical fruit, passion fruit, lemon curd, crushed herbs, bright and intense. Delicious young white Bordeaux.
February 27, 2024 - Pale yellow gold.
Ripe flavors, great acidity.
Very nice at cellar, not fridge temp.
Ripe pear, lovely balance
November 24, 2023 - An excellent example of its type, although I feel in a slightly awkward phase at the moment, with the Semillon needing more time to assert itself against the currently dominant Sauvignon. Classic notes of grass, gooseberry and (unfortunately) cat's piss, then a kiss of vanilla on the finish. More enjoyable with air and accompanied by some sashimi. No rush.
October 16, 2023 - Domaine visit. Very fresh, complex, good balance and complexity.
August 31, 2023 - A very nicely made wine with lovely clean fruits.
Quite a strong sauvignon blanc on the nose, full of passionfruit and tropical notes that does remind one of wines from the land of the long white clouds. The body was a more structured and nuanced affairs, with the acidity of semillon is in full voice. Still not quite fully integrated and perhaps may require another couple of years to be completely coherent. Enjoyable.
Drink now to 4+ years.
July 28, 2023 - Truly excellent white Bordeaux, which is priced much better in France and is generally worth it. In a good place at six years of age.
July 18, 2023 - Prior bottle was one year ago and this wine remains in a very good spot. Strong saline and earth notes (seashore qualities) to go along with white orchard and citrus notes on the nose. Medium bodied with a very similar fruit profile to my prior bottle (white apple and melon, moving to white peach). These fruit notes are supported by citrus and saline notes on the backside. But what continues to make this wine special is its overall balance. All the very components simply fit together so well and sailed seamlessly from mid-body through the finish. This wine seemed to gain complexity and balance with each bottle I opened. This was my final bottle and always good to go out on such a high note.
July 1, 2023 - Still going strong, see my prior note, but I’d go up a point in score this time putting it around 92 pts. Racy levels of white grapefruit and fresh fennel. Love this stuff.
June 7, 2023 - Really pretty and vibrant, very sb as it goes.
January 23, 2023 - Very citrusy. Lemon, peach, grapefruit. Can detect oak, buttery flavor with a mineral core. Nice wine, probably too young at this stage.
