March 11, 2023 - It is rather young with potentials. Subdued bouquet of tobacco and leather with hints of lilac. It opened up after 30 minutes in a glass and smoothed out the tannins. It should taste better in another five years.

Deep garnet color. Pretty intense nose. Blackberry, black currant, plums and some tobacco and vanilla notes.
On the palate, full bodied, high tannins and medium acidity. Somewhat short finish. I expected more from GCC, more balance, complexity and length. Second wine of Kirwan 18 and D'Issan 18 were much better for me (better vintage?). -
