August 13, 2023 - Surprisingly young and fresh. A good example of Barbera, not forced, made with Vajra's typical easy hand. Nonetheless this has good fruit intensity, freshness and plenty of alcohol at 15% - which is slightly heavy. Fine medium to soft tannins. Classic red and black cherry notes, accompanied by a pleasing earthiness. Medium to long finish, some complexity. Drinking now and will last at least 5 more years.

August 8, 2023 - Tanglewood lawn. My last bottle of this vintage and as expected still quite delicious.

August 2, 2023 - Quite a deep, saturated colour and very youthful. Some Vitamin B on the nose along with liqueur cherry and purple flowers. It is fleshy, deep and layered. There's good volume and some chalky structure below the flesh. Length is very good.

February 3, 2023 - Mogna röda bär, skogshallon, fat cederträ, lakrits. Fräsch fin syra, lång eftersmak och behaglig i munnen. År kantarellrisotto med kalvfrikadeller med citron. Mycket fällning i botten

November 19, 2021 - This barbera is totally made in a new world style (thick, dark, big nose) with little in the way of showing its sense of place. Full of dark fruit and cherry on the nose and palate, this is so drinkable now.

It could be from Paso or Alba in a blind tasting. Please don't confuse this comment with the fact that I LOVE THIS WINE. I totally under valued this wine and drank it all way to fast never giving it a chance to grow old.
