February 15, 2024 - Maybe flawed, not obviously so but pretty flat.

September 16, 2022 - Super closed. Offered little of anything for the first hour, even decanted. At 12 hours quite pleasant. Cool, bit vegetal, cherry, bit of earth on the nose. Overall pretty restrained. Palate to match. Bit juicy. Big. Give it a few years.

January 11, 2021 - PnP. Everything I want in a Brunello wine. Everything. Elegant medium body, with super fine, sweet tannins, sublime, fresh acidity and, for that matter outstanding overall structure with the pure, transparent red fruit. I hadn't meant to experiment, necessarily, but as it happened, I left about 2,5oz in my glass overnight, uncovered. The next morning, it hadn't budged at all. So, I left it the next night; same result. In the course of five nights, this wine had no oxidation, and the vibrancy of fruit was the same as on night one. Magnificent, and very impressive; more so considering its modest cost. I'll covet my remaining four bottles. Will drink for 15+ years, all of them at a high level. Brilliant. 14,5% abv., natural cork. highly recommended+

December 12, 2019 - Sampler. Initial sulfur notes, tactile tannins. Young of course. Rather long. 85-86.

June 4, 2018 - Outstanding, elegant. Luminous brick red color, with an understated elegance to the nose that's marked by a generous helping of perfectly ripe red fruits, soil, and resonating power. My mind drifted to Grand Cru burgundy, fwiw. Incredible power on the medium bodied frame, all presented in a balanced, pure, and deeply pedigreed way. Towering. highly recommended+

the people are even better than the legendary wines!
