November 6, 2023 - Cherry, strawberries, dried roses, violets and spices. Mature both on the nose and on the color of the wine (brick red). A lot more evolved than the Pommard Les Grands Epenots 2016 from same producer and vintage. Drink now and then next 5-6 years.

May 18, 2023 - This is what Burgundy is all about: nice cherry fruit, velvety smooth, good acidity with some tannin to balance. Hard to keep from drinking now.

January 18, 2021 - Can't say I've ever had a wine so incredibly smooth and velvety. A light wood influence is present slightly disguising the fruit on the nose. Bursting with wonderful crushed black cherries, violets, and spice. This will age beautifully over the next two decades, but is a true delight at the moment. Will be on my list of things to pick up in future vintages as 18 futures are coming in soon.

November 7, 2019 - Domaine Clos de la Chapelle Dinner (Cafe Boulud - New York NY): In 17/16/15/10 vertical. Rich start with good density, then this suddenly opens up and becomes welcoming and endearing. So much here that seem subtle but attention shows its complexity. More open and much better tonight vs when last tasted 8 months ago.
