March 4, 2024 - A bit waxy, firm bitters, modest citrus, nice, but a bit rough; give it some time to smoothen.

    November 1, 2022 - Deep gold

Pronounced intensity on the nose with honey, blossom, ginger, peach, vanilla, mushroom, baked peach, orange, lemon, marmalade. Developing.

Pronounced and sweet on the palate. Medium plus acidity acidity, high alcohol, full body, long finish.

Drink now or suitable for further aging.

October 8, 2021 - Small pours at the end of the evening really impressed me. I might have rated it even higher had I the chance to drink and contemplate more. Lots of flavor complexity and depth. Terrific drinking right now.

May 17, 2020 - Fresh, ripe, opulent sweet honey-drenched apricots, pineapple, mango, vanilla and white peach hit the spot, for those looking for a sweet nectar treat. Rich, honeyed and full, the wine remains lifted and fresh.

January 24, 2020 - 2017 UGC Des Bordeaux, San Francisco, one of my go to Sauternes, nose of honey, Double Delight Rose fragrance, and Chinese apple, on the palate, medium/big body, very tasty, almost elegant, delicious, shows good acid, needs 3 years to peak, lovely fruit and mouth feel, long finish.

Vanilla, pineapple, honey, flowers and overripe apricot create the nose but it is the density, sweetness and purity of fruit along with the piercing acidity and length that make this wine a standout. The harvest, which took place September 25 through October 12, was the shortest picking period in the history of the chateau. Close to 20% of the vineyard was damaged by frost this year. The Grand Vin was made from only 50% of the harvest.
