January 7, 2022 - Deep ruby colored. Intense nose with lots of dark berries, mocha and some tobacco. Cassis, blackberries, blueberries, dark plum, soft earthy notes and nice fresh herbal notes on the palate. Medium (+) bodied with a medium intense acidity. Firm tannins, which need more time to integrate. Incredible depth and complexity, multiple fruit layers - astonishing. Very dense and dark structure. In the moment this is a big, fruit driven wine but with some more time it will balance out. Very long and beautiful finish.
Wow, what a lovely classic left bank Bordeaux with a lot of soul and energy. It’s too young but I’m sure that it will be a future legend. 95 points for now, with 10-15 years of age 98+ is possible. Drink 2026 - 2045. (IG)

November 23, 2020 - Really deep, intense and concentrated with beautiful dense fresh fruit of the most delicious black currants, blackberries and hints of cassis as supporters. Great layer with deep gravel, fiery flowers, perfume, leather, licorice, tobacco and stable in the background. Beautifully full-bodied and fresh wine with a wonderful energetic mouthfeel of clear black currants, blackberries, purple fruit peel, tobacco tone, espresso, hints of fresh blood and hints of herbal green tone on a long and complex finish. Lovely acidity and very good tannin structure. Fabulous Las Cases for the next 30 years. 96 points.

September 16, 2020 - Brimming with energy on the nose, a real lift to the aromas. Cedary and classic; builds nicely on the palate, good spread of fruit. Nicely judged tannins. Pretty impressive and a nice background note of top quality oak running alongside. Evidently quite young and needs time for that oak to be subsumed but it’s clearly a very classy wine. Long.

July 4, 2018 - Tasted after 2017 Clos du Marquis. Quite muted on the nose, brooding fruit, lots of depth, hints of spices, mocha, crushed stones, earth. On the palate impressively structured - powerful but ripe tannins, lots of dark fruit, minerality, freshness. Everything is balanced, in harmony. Very long and vibrant finish. Superb. 96-97+
