February 21, 2021 - Revisited after tasting in 2018.
Decanted 3 hours before tasting.
Deep ruby, dark brooding wine, 14.5% alcohol.
Blackberry, plums, figs, raisins, vanilla, chocolate, earthy nose.
Full bodied, high tannins, medium acidity.
Quite closed initially on the palate despite decanting, although it did open up in the glass after an hour or so. Similar flavours to nose.
I think this still needs more time and I will give it another try in a year or two.

November 1, 2018 - A blend of Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Dark fruit with violets and cedar comes through on those nose. The palate is bold with lots of sweet black fruit and blueberry, cedar spice is coming through too. Still primary and one dimensional but a nice wine nonetheless, despite weighing in at 14.5%.
