November 26, 2019 - Rich, aromatic and complex food-friendly white wine.
    Popped and poured

    Appearance: Clear, medium gold color
Nose: Aromatic, fruit-forward at first: quince jelly, tangerine, lemon curd, ripe apricot. Soon enough more elements kick in: vanilla, almond, floral honey and beewax
Palate: Dry, medium acidity, rich body, mouth-coating texture, 14% abv. Aromatic fruity core (apricot!) with beewax and saffron

    90-91
Unfamiliar with aged roero but could see this one improving over the next 5 to 10 years.

October 29, 2019 - Giacosa tasting at Knightsbridge Wine Shoppe (Northbrook, IL): It's admittedly not a high bar, but this is probably the best arneis out there. A very balanced wine with really a bit of everything -- waxiness, acidity, fruit, minerality... Very pleasant and slightly sweet fruit profile on the palate, but just a smidgen of bitterness on the back end. Overall very nice.

September 3, 2019 - Pronounced green apple nose w/some mild fragrant acidity. Nice round legs. Flavor of ripe apple & melon w/nice balanced mellow finish. Lite soft acidity provides a nice balance to the Blue Cheese & Brie & pear appetizer. Nice w/seafood salad. Very consistently good wine over the years.

August 24, 2019 - Crisp, interesting grape - clean but with flavor notes - a nice southern European variety. Paired well with a marinated fish.

August 18, 2019 - Surprised by the lack of enthusiasm in CT reviews thus far. On the richer side with notes of quince, peach, apple butter, preserved lemon and a bit of slate. Great aroma and palate-coating flavors built in the glass with time. Exceptional.
