August 13, 2021 - Aromatics felt a bit cooked unfortunately. Smoky not particularly precise.

February 20, 2017 - Fantastically refreshing and delicious palate. Whilst not showing any hard edges, it showed a little simply/young tonight and this bottle would have benefitted from another decade or so to reveal greater complexity.

October 9, 2016 - Roumier Jasper Morris dinner. This one glows. Clear step up in depth and concentration from 76, 82, 83, 86 and 87. Stewed fruit character for me. Lovely on the palate, silk. Table called this breathtaking.

March 8, 2016 - From magnum no less. Wonderful way to finish a tasting at Brooklyn Fare. Excellent complexity and elegance. Deep flavors of red fruits and long finish. Terrific and generous.

January 10, 2016 - Second Sunday Group: Domestic Grenache (Frank's): Bottle #1905, also courtesy of Neil. Light ruby/brick color with a soaring bouquet of rose petals, cherry, licorice and just about any other floral note you could imagine. Here too, there's plenty of fruit remaining- still very vibrant and bright, with cherry, tea, licorice and candied orange peel flavors. Well-balanced. 94-95 pts.

Frisk syre. Lette, silketanniner. Fruktig utgang med mild bitterhet. Flott lengde.

July 3, 2012 - Obviously mature colour. Intense, red cherry fruits with loads of spices. The wine never let up even after 2 hours in the glass with gorgeous, incredibly intense and persistent, tangy red fruit.

March 21, 2011 - succulent and great purity. This is very elegant but not powerful - great sappy character.

November 3, 2009 - Roumier Dinner with 7 Vintages of Bonnes Mares++++ (Boka - Chicago IL): Single blind flight. Sensational. Red dried cherry on both the nose and palate. Great spicy exciting flavors, still showing amazing floral aromatics. Complete balanced. Wine kept getting better for at least two hours in glass. Really sensational. This was the group’s WOTN (only 2nd place for me for long-term potential).
