October 29, 2023 - one hour into the decant Dan and I thought it showed mainly blueberry and some red fruits. Now it is two hours and turning more to red fruits on nose and palet. Needs a four hour decant to settle down the spice back end, but better on hour two. Drinking above its price and showing no fruit fade. Medium plus body. Medium silky mouth feel, consistent and pleasant. Can drink over the next five years.

May 8, 2023 - Impressive! Deep dark color, very complex nose. Dark fruits, espresso, chocolate, truffle and cedar. Powerful but balanced. Long and deep finish, all elements in harmony. Will develop further in the coming years.

February 16, 2023 - 2nd wine from HMC and it was a beauty. Started out with a 4 hour decant, I think but improved further through the night gaining weight, depth and even some power. Very rich dark fruited palate, very smooth and well balanced. I've only had a couple of different Martini cabs through the years and they've not performed as well as this one did. Very impressed. Might be with the prior bottles I didn't give them enough air? Might be they just weren't as good as this one, too.

August 8, 2022 - Really loved this wine. Old world in style with restrained fruit and savory characteristics. I pick up red currant, dusty cherry and leather with some umami savory flavors. Nice refined tannins on the finish. Drinking nicely now, but I suspect it might get even better with a couple of more years in the bottle.
