August 22, 2020 - 93-95: Wow - been a while since I've had a Garden, and this Sophie's is it for us. Definitely would describe as joyful, bright, and rich. Some notes of eucalyptus on the nose, silky, chocolaty palate. Long finish. Really beautiful.
May 20, 2018 - Needed a couple hours decant, drinking well
April 18, 2017 - Still punchy Shiraz and v nice flavours but getting a little old in my opinion
February 24, 2017 - Very strong and punchy wine. So much of that peppery liquorice flavour etc you'd expect from a wine that's 16.5%!!!I would say needs to be drunk quite soon really.
February 2, 2014 - Even better than bottle a few years ago. Drinking very well now so why wait?
September 1, 2012 - Lots of fruit, but not over the top, medium to full bodied, improved after opening up for a while. Great bottle.
May 6, 2012 - Upon opening, this wine was a bit overpowering with fruit and alcohol, but after 30 minutes, it settled down and became very graceful--more than I would expect for an Aussie Shiraz.
April 15, 2012 - Fruit bomb great to pair with a burger
February 19, 2012 - Light tannins, and a little lighter on the big fruit than I remember from the last bottle. Nice acidity.
October 29, 2011 - Big fruit, big wine,very ripe, extracted, blackberries, spice and vanilla, drinking well now!
