April 16, 2024 - Saw this on Winebid for a good price ($35) so rolled the dice. Wow, this was good and that combined with low expectations usually results in a higher score for me.
Uber-smooth, mellow with subtle dark fruit.
    Just a glorious drinking experience.
I wouldn't wait on these as more time may further mute the remaining fruit.

January 13, 2019 - One of my favorite new discoveries from SLH. This is sinfully good stuff. Deep and dark and lip-smackingly mouthwatering. Definitely on the blackberry / black currant side of the spectrum. Very early in its development, but so good now it will be hard to hold my other bottles.

October 30, 2018 - 14.2% abv. Dark burgundy, expressive aromatics. Black raspberry, pomegranate and cinnamon highlight a deep and rich palate impression. This wine is still coming together, but it is absolutely loaded. Great now, may be headed to brilliant.

September 29, 2018 - Winebar [4 Whites, 8 Reds, & 3 *shared* IMPRESSIVE reds] from 09/28/18] (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): NO whole cluster, & fermented using 100% native yeast; Aged 11 mos in FR oak (41% new); 600 cs released Summer 2018

N: Fragrant jammy straws with undertones of red rasps, poss flowers, with a touch of smoke?

P: Med, poss MF, body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by some astringent pucker which quite resolves by the LONG, very, VERY slightly bitter finish with a tangy/swtness to the very, VERY fine tannins. Deserves another 4-10 mos, then drinking for 3-4 yrs more. My VG+/EXC-, trending toward the higher, I do suspect. 96 pts Jeb Dunnuck. [Check with this vendor if interested in their *very* COMPETITIVE price.]
