January 10, 2022 - Minimal sediment. Light ruby, slight bricking consistent with young nebbiolo; high intensity aromatics, red fruited, strawberry, floral; palate is light bodied, elegant, almost ethereal fruits and flavors dominated by red fruits and florals, balanced medium-plus alcohol (13.5%, incredibly well balanced), high acidity which balances and refreshes without taking over, nice persistence of flavors through the midpalate; finish is medium-plus in length and clean. A lovely carema, a bit lighter bodied than even this bottling typically is, but that gives it a lovely finesse which I'm really enjoying. The aromatics are stellar, the palate shows good persistence though not the highest amount of complexity. A great showing for the vintage, and I don't see much reason to let this age much further given how well balanced the tannins are. 91-92
4 hours decanted: A bit more savory in addition to the fruit. Enjoyable, easy drinking, but definitely held back a little by a shortage of complexity even though it has good length.

October 12, 2021 - Beautiful. Very aromatic. Sweet black cherry, tar, and leather. Beautiful presence and subtle power. More secondary than my last bottle.

June 25, 2021 - The Cellar Tracker drinking window extends to 2036 but don't believe it in my opinion. This bottle drank like a twenty-five year old Barolo. Burnt sunset color, more earth and terroir than fruit. No longer vibrant.

October 12, 2020 - Continues to be a lovely bottle drinking well right now. Great balance, light with savory notes and bright red fruit.
