  July 22, 2020 - Gourmet Traveller wine Victorian Shiraz (Winespace, Surry Hills): Jubey fruit, touch of bretty funk, more stalky notes, menthol, a little peppery spice and some raspberry/red berry notes join the blackberry fruit. Juicy, fleshy, slight bitterness, talc texutred tannins, fruit a little muted, that bretty funk is here as well. Pleasant enough.

  January 27, 2019 - Deep, deep ruby red. Highly aromatic Syrah, shows good complexity on the nose - notes of ripe blueberry, warm leather and sweet baking spices. Medium body, highly extracted with slightly green tannins and a medium finish. The sweetness here overpowers much of the fruit and doesn't integrate with the Brettiness that seems to prevail from start to finish (supposed to be a style trait, but not well executed).
