September 2, 2022 - Dark plum, allspice, clove, nutmeg, vanilla. Med(+) coating tannins. Well balanced. Just a touch of heat on the long finish that is otherwise fruit and spice driven.

May 6, 2022 - Decanted for four hours. Red berries, blonde coffee, blackberry, cocoa, plumeria flowers and granite. Super long, focused and coats every millimeter of your palate. There’s so much body and verve - and a lot of needed weight. Brightness when it counts and the ability to unfold with panache. In all do honesty, this has become one of my favorite unique bottling from California. Every vintage, in a greedy fashion, I wish that more was owned. Tannins of felt. Drink 2024 - 2039.

Amazing wine and a real treat to try the first vintage of this wine. Served next to the NoK-9 from the same vintage it does not reach the same level. Still, a great wine in its own. -

June 13, 2021 - Blackberry, black cherry, anise, licorice, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, violets, cocoa powder, great intensity with medium+ tannins and medium acidity. Long finish with good balance. It’s basically taking a Portugal dry red and adding steroids.

June 22, 2019 - Intense. First smell and taste is boysenberry. Lots of blueberry pie. Some dark chocolate. Very similar to high end Turley Petite Syrah.
