June 4, 2022 - Q2 2022 Wine Club: Grower Champagne (The Apt): After an afternoon of champagne what you most want is a Rhone... well, at least with this crowd. Opened and decanted. It's a bit of funk but that blows off and then it's a nice aged rhone with that kindof biting through acid that creates a strong backbone and a touch of gaminess and some metallic notes. Probably in the back part of the curve on drinking window (at least with this storage), but enjoyable.
