May 12, 2020 - We did a virtual wine tasting on May 12, 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic and various state shelter in place orders. I really liked this wine. I would say it’s one of my favorite Chardonnays. We tried the 2013 Chardonnay at the same time. We prefer the 2017 by far. 2017 had a very nice butter note, but it was not overwhelming. While it has hint of butter, it is not a butter bomb. There’s not too much oak, just right. The wine is a mouthful. A wonderful pale yellow color. Apparently, the wine is aged in controlled French oak barrels. 2017 was a year of a lot of rain and very warm temperatures. This winery is very very high tech. This property traces its lineage back to probably the oldest vineyard in Napa.

March 15, 2020 - Nice Chard. Not as much depth as I prefer.

May 22, 2019 - Light on the oak and decent taste. A little better on the second day. And better if not to chilled. Great with or without food. Glad I got it.
