  September 5, 2022 - Fun! Pallagrello Nero variety, from Terre del Volturno IGT in Campania. Super-ripe (with a little fermenting quality of) black cherry, red cherry, black plum, blackberry, and blueberry with a distinct and pleasant aging (intended controlled rotting) game, a sanguine quality, aged balsamic vinegar, dark gray smoke, and charred cedar. Tannins are M+ and moderately chewey with a velvety texture. Body is full. Lively, with acid that is medium. Polished texture and mouthfeel, with M+ weight. One of the most interesting wines I have ever had, and for me, interesting is equal or preferable to quality. This has both.

  July 31, 2022 - Very dark, think amarone almost. Dark red, black, and blue fruit with floral aromas. Full bodied, bordering on sweet with the depth of fruit. Black licorice, tar, with a long lingering finish.
  
  This is really quite nice and has the backbone to continue to hold for quite a long time to show the secondary flavors more prominently.
