February 18, 2018 - Huge nose of "tourbe", ripe red berries, cedar wood... Drying tannin, but nice ripe red berries balancing the tannin.
August 7, 2014 - Enjoyed over two nights. The nose is light but pleasing. Some structure but almost too easy to drink. Paired very nicely with putanessco sauce over pasta and sweet potatoes. I plan to drink my last few bottles soon.

December 2, 2012 - Tannins are dropping away, but the fruit is still holding off the acidity. Lingering finish, medium dark color. Quite enjoyable
September 30, 2012 - Nice. Fruit fading a bit, but its hanging in there. Slight bricking around the edges. Better than anticipated.
February 4, 2012 - This wine is due to "expire" this year. So, I drank this one to evaluate whether it is at its limit and about to go downhill. If it is I can't discern it. It's bright, acidic, fruity, in a word, lively. So, I'm inclined to extend the drink period another year to 2013. Roses and spice on the nose with some pepper. Palate is bright nebbiolo fruit -- the overall texture is both light and has a heft to it - hard to explain. Balanced combo of fruit, acid and spice. A great alternative to Barbera as a food-friendly quaff.
