June 1, 2019 - Cheval Blanc Vertical ‘Chez Elke’ (Hotel Hohenzollern, Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler): Oxidative, banana, licorice, not good on the nose, but the palate is still fairly good. I don’t think this was an off bottle, I’d rather guess this needs to be drunk up (or should have been 10 years ago)

June 1, 2019 - Strong oxidative notes with an almost aggressive nose. Still very pleasant to drink with notes of hazelnuts and caramel.

March 26, 2019 - An Evening of Vinous Merriment and Majesty Among Friends (Craft, New York): Classic right bank profile with dark fruit but not heavy at all. The '52 did not have much of a nose compared to the '50 and /53 tasted alongside. Still lots of tannins and fruit left. Not quite as balanced.

March 15, 2019 - Dinner at Jade Palace. Amazing deep purple color for a 68 year old wine. Stunningly youthful, both in looks and taste. Fruit is very much alive and kicking, well balanced with decent level of acidity keeping the wine fresh. Some secondary notes, balsmic vinegar. Smooth, soft tannins. Echoing many of the other TNs here, this wine tastes like a 20 year old wine.
