April 7, 2022 - PNP Intense nose of peppermint, warm baking spices, wild berry, tar, petrol, and herbs.

Beautiful layered red berries on the palate backed by juicy acidity. Some baking spice and minerals emerge mid-palate before a long red cherry finish lingers cleanly. Just the way Barbera is supposed to be. Good stuff. Ready now, no need to hold further.

    May 15, 2020 - COVID-19 "Shelter-in-Place"; 3/17/2020-5/31/2020 (Redwood City, CA): Barbera d'Alba from a producer in Barolo. 2h air.

Vibrant medium ruby color. Intense aromas of cherry, cassis, pepper, rose, black tea, with hints of hazelnut and pepper. Silky texture, medium bodied, backbone of sinewy tannins. Bright juicy red fruit flavors, very earthy with lovely hints of hazelnut. Great QPR.

July 27, 2019 - Very pretty, floral nose of dried flowers, raspberry, lemon pith. Medium plus acid, medium body, with fine tannin. Delicious, red fruited palette full of bright lemon juice marinated rasberries, strawberry and hibiscus. Really lovely and easy to keep drinking. Re-buy

April 14, 2019 - Smooth, wears its 14.5° ABV lightly. Inky, purple-magenta, like some California fruit bomb, but only in color. Medium light body. Faint cherry. Drinking very nicely already.

May 10, 2018 - A Ripe yet fresh nose. A young fruity styled barbera with good acidity. Simple, easy drinking table ready barbera, and I mean that in the best possible way.
