April 2, 2020 - This pale ruby Italian Pinot Noir showed a much older colour then its 2017 age. When swirled a medium set of legs appeared & to the nose this red was far from complex with notes of plum, olive & spice. To the mouth this wine came across very ordinary with no body, a short finish & no length. Pinot is one of my favourite types of wines so I was curious to have this Italian Pinot but this ended up being a very ordinary wine that I was disappointed with after being recommended to me.

August 30, 2019 - By the glass over lunch at Pietro Ristorante. Wonderful tasty Capellini Granchio!
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium- intensity, with aromas of raspberries, crnaberries, red cherries, hint of violet. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), prickly medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with fruity flavours of raspberries, cranberries, soft red cherries and red plum, sweet spice, bits of leafy earth/mineral. Medium- finish.
Acceptable quality. Fruity quaffable Pinot Noir. Lacks intensity and interest though. Drink young.
70% aged over 12 months in large French oak barrels, and the remainder 30% is aged in small French oak barriques which are 2-3 years old.

August 6, 2018 - Worth every penny, Peter Zemmer’s Northern Italian Pinot Noir is intensely perfumed, with lilting aromas of dried rose petals, cola, homemade strawberry jam, raspberry, and underbrush. The aromatic profile perfectly matches the nose—it’s elegant, buoyant, and reigned in, with a finish etched in floral undertones and limestone minerality. 13.0% ABV | Sample
