May 1, 2020 - Similar descriptors as last time, but drier this time; not getting any off-dry-ness this time, and it's actually to its overall detriment for me. Comes across more simple and un-contemplative somehow. Good pairing for sushi or lighter fare. We had it with a spicy shrimp lo mein tonight and it needed a little RS to balance the heat, but next time: sushi. And I don't think holding these is the call either. 87-88 tonight.

April 25, 2019 - Agree with the previous review that this is leaning towards an off-dry style. I don't find it terribly detracting in not a dissimilar way as a riesling or gewurzstraminer can be with nicely balancing acidity as here, along with a light bitterness on the back end, which gives more of a lasting impression of a dryer wine, but yeah, there's that going on here. Very light yellow to straw color. Aromas of green apple and pear, lime, wet rocks, honeysuckle, and saline. Medium (+) body, acid, and finish, with flavors of green and yellow apple, pear, lemon, lime, and lingering minerality. I'm enjoying it. Paired well with chicken and broccoli Alfredo stuffed shells, and would work with all manner of seafood, sushi, raw bar, poultry, lighter fare, and aperitif sipping in the sun.

September 12, 2018 - A wine that I opened with high expectations that did not get completely fulfilled. Instead of a vivid, dry, and fruity Loire Sauvignon Blanc, there is a troubling sweetness in the background edge of the wine. Sauvignon Blanc certainly can make a great dessert wine, but this straddled the boundary between dry and sweet. In the finish, though, a refreshing and acidic brightness prevailed, that gripped the finish rather than splash into sweetness. Most likely, the wine will greatly benefit from bottle age as the sweetness subsides.
