November 11, 2023 - Colour still good, decanted, fruit just fading

November 4, 2023 - One Glass. Nice but a bit lean and youthful at the moment. 13.5%. Needs 3-4 hrs aeration. Lay down 5-10 years.

August 27, 2023 - 20 minute decant - Lovely nose of violets, leather and earth - beautiful blue fruit to the fore with firm oak supporting it - secondary characters then coming through with a lingering finish and resolved tannins - for me drinking perfectly although on it's downward slope with no rush

July 13, 2023 - Bouquet reflects the wine’s age. Lovely Cabernet that is at its peak or maybe on a slow decline. The wine needed breathing as it had some sharpness on opening but within 45 minutes the wine was much rounder and settled. The wine displayed secondary characteristics with fine integrated tannins. The wine was not overly ripe, was balanced full in flavour, somewhat rich. I need to drink the remaining wines over the next year or two.

September 26, 2022 - Cork, 13.5% alc. Good cork. Dark garnet.

Lots of dusty blackcurrant, mint, a hint of eucalypt, tomato leaf, cedar, and dark soy sauce on the nose.

Similar flavours on the light-mid weighted palate, but tending savoury with tea, olive and dark chocolate. Rounded, dusty tannins, and fresh acidity. Reasonably long finish. Demands airing after opening to give off more aromatics; otherwise it seems a bit one-dimensional. Showing more cigar box on day 3.

Opinion: Drinking well now, but a long way from decline. Gentler style of Coonawarra Cabernet, but none the worse for it.
