August 6, 2023 - Bottom Line ... There was a point, when I thought this wine was going to last five more years. But I don't think it has that kind of longevity to it; maybe another two or three at most. But if you drink it now, consume during that first hour after being open and you've got a super juicy wine that's just so palate pleasing - chug-a-lug.

December 8, 2020 - The wine has juicy dark red fruit but not much complexity. The finish is a little off too.

May 18, 2019 - Fairly dark in the glass as one would expect from the variety, with black and dark red fruit on the nose. The palate is juicy, fruity, and big with dark fruit (plum, blackberry) predominant. I have yet to have a Montepulciano that has "wowed" me (although this comes closer than most), but that falls in line with the genre as well--this is a wine that is meant to be consumed with dinner, preferably with a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs, a steak Florentine, or a good old pizza. thedrunkencyclist.com

January 10, 2019 - Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Deep full color with an intense ripe fruit nose. The tannin is gripping in the mouth and dominates but in positive manner. Good acid balance and nice exit. This is a big robust wine.

November 22, 2018 - The strong nose boasts tons of barrel aromas, sweet cherry, sweet strawberry and a huge wallop of fruit punch. The full-throttled, full-bodied palate delivers dense tannin and very juicy acidity. The fruit - bearing signs of Acai, pomegranate, black plum and blackberry - is massive. Somewhere in the background, there are mild doses of tar, graphite and smoke. Though Old World in its minerality and tannin structure, this is not a wine for the faint of heart. Decant this for as long as you can.
