January 17, 2021 - Rich, full bodied, some fruit on the attack then slightly bitter grassy finish. The love child of chenin blanc and Sauvignon blanc?

August 30, 2020 - Admittedly, I don't know much about Timorasso and I haven't had other expressions of the grape to compare it to, but I thought this was a lovely wine. Herbaceous, with a slightly bitter finish. Reminded me of gruner, or a leaner style of pinot gris, though the timorasso was less upfront with its fruitiness. Pithy stone fruits and minerality. Nectarine, bitter almond, chervil. On first opening, it had quite a funny (unpleasant) nose, but after decanting for ~1hr, it blew off and opened nicely. Paired very well with homemade pesto. I think there may be some aging potential here, so I'll be a while before I open my last bottle.

May 26, 2020 - This was my first experience with Timorasso, knowingly at least. I will not be rushing out to get more. Has a strange, almost oxidative quality. Not crisp enough for my tastes. Will revisit this evening with different food and see if I missed something, but at the moment rather meh.

April 13, 2020 - This was much better with our food pairing (sausage and ravioli in red sauce). The oxidative notes I mentioned last time were not present this time: deep honeyed almond, sea salt, good minerality. On the palate, more of the same, and wonderful savory note. Great density and long finish.

March 11, 2020 - just gold. nose with flat dough, mineral earth, and pear skins. medium body with medium plus acidity. faintly honeyed with a lemon peel, unripe pear flesh, and strongly mineral flavor. sour end with a medium length finish.

December 30, 2019 - Bright with pear, apple. Fuller than expected, not too hot, not too fruity. Great summer wine, but good anytime. Lovely.

December 20, 2019 - Annual Tasting Group Holiday Party (I Nonni, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Small glass over an hour. Lacquer nose, lemon, oxidative, stone fruits. The palate is a little oily and full with good acidity, oxidative, citrus, fusil, stone. I enjoyed this quite a bit. 89+ to 90pts.

October 5, 2019 - I think this is a lovely, dry white wine. A worthy alternative to Chablis with good acidity and mineral notes to complement the pear and melon fruit. Stands up to some spicy seafood as well.
