January 26, 2020 - This is a wine from the Cantine del Notaio from Basilicata. We visited this winery in December 2018. The wine is a rose wine made from Aglianico del Vulture. It is clear and filtered , it’s brilliant. It is a dark pink color, darker than usual rose wines because it is made with Aglianico grapes. The viscosity is medium high with (13.5%abv). The nose is subtle with red fruits , strawberries and raspberries , it doesn’t show any complexity. The best skate confirms the nose with almost a full body wine, very smooth tannins and low acidity. So a wine with not a strong backbone ( structure ). The persistence is short. In summary a avariate rose wine for Avery day consumption , good pairing with fish or light meat dishes. PM 83.

August 28, 2018 - Un chiaretto cristallino e di buona consistenza. Al naso è intenso e moderatamente complesso. Spiccano i frutti rossi. Affiorano poi un'amarena sottospirito e delle note speziate. Al palato è secco e morbido e manifesta tutto il suo calore alcolico. Le durezze sono meno spiccate e faticano ad equilibrare il sorso. I frutti rossi sono persistenti, sebbene permanga nel finale una nota tannica vegetale lievemente aspra. Di buon corpo. Pronto.
Consiglierei di berlo leggermente più fresco (1-2 gradi) della norma così da sostenere la parti dure equilibrando maggiormente il sorso.1 person found this helpful Comment
