June 17, 2023 - Stunning Kabinett once again by the Haag-family at Schloss Lieser!
Perfectly in balance right now between the sweetness and acidity, and between the unripe/ripe and green/yellow fruits.
Sweeter white peach, apricot, pineapple, candied lemon and passion fruit mixed with the acidity from green apple, fresh lemon & lime, unripe peach and unripe mango. Some crushed slate and minerality that's to die for, and there's so much freshness and electricity throughout the bottle that you feel sad when it's empty!2 people found this helpful Comment -

June 8, 2019 - To pair with fried prawns, spelt noodles and green curry&coconut sauce. Delicious effort by Thomas, perhaps not as good as the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen and/or Graacher Himmelreich in this vintage, but still lipsmacking good. Refined sweetness and great acidity!

April 10, 2019 - I'm not getting as much "action" out of this wine as I had hoped for. This wine is made from grapes from the Lieser Niederberg Helden vineyard in Mosel. Typical "mosel nose" with lots of sweetness and that lovely chemical gasoline smell. I don't really have anything bad to say about this effort - it's just a bit boring and it doesn't "leap out of the glass" like some other Kabinett Rieslings I've tried lately. Decent aromas citrus, sugarcoated apples and gasoline. 8% alcohol - awesome = more wine to drink
