November 16, 2023 - Still very fresh. Light, translucent color. Vanilla cherry smell. Bright, juicy and medium plus acidity. Great cold climate expression of Nebbiolo. I wish I had more.
October 13, 2023 - Italian odds and sods (N&J's place, Canberra): From Coravin. A touch of dusty star anise, dried orange peel and pot pourri, a little sour plum and cherry. Juicy, freshy acidity, similar flavour profile to the nose, the tannins support and help carry this long on the mid palate. Yum.
December 28, 2022 - Great cool climate wine showing great balance, good acidity and still nice complexity and texture.
A very refreshing type of wine.

July 31, 2021 - Sour Cherry, rainier cherry, rose water, potpourri, some green herbs and a touch of dried teas, both green and black. Interesting nose that’s hard to pin down. The palate has many of the same notes as the nose but with a little more brightness than the nose would suggest — a touch of lemon rind towards the finish paired with bright acidity. There’s nice length with a finish that becomes subtle but holds on for a while.
Really love a more accessibly priced Nebbiolo like this one. There’s a ton going on her for the price, and while it maybe doesn’t have the clear polish of Barolo or Barbaresco, it’s evocative and interesting. This is the kind of wine many wouldn’t be able to place if tasted blind, but it certainly wouldn’t be mistaken for something else.

An ethereal style, shifty nose of mushroom, pine, cedar, violet, strawberry, damp decaying tree trunks. Like being in the woods after a rain shower. Open knit, fresh red fruit, high acidity. Lengthy finish with mild tannin, clay and minerality.
