April 3, 2022 - Upped my score to 89 since the first bottle in August 2020. Thankfully, the acidity has calmed down to a good level, however this wine, at least right now, is drinking more like a Rosso di Montalcino than a BdM due to its bright acidity and sour cherry notes. It lacks that depth and complexity that a BdM should provide.
At $22.99 it was priced like an RdM, so I can't expect much more. If it was sold as an RdM it would have gotten a higher score.

April 16, 2021 - no/little tannins, excellent color. Medium bodied and has aged well. Super smooth, leathery/earthy with floral notes of cherry and raspberry. Drank it with lamb shank, paired really well.

January 8, 2021 - Decent open but jumped from delicate/austere to stewed fruit awfully quickly. Never really got the fresh fruit, and acid really underwhelmed. Still solid and showed some prettiness in those first 15 minutes.

December 16, 2020 - Tried a first glass of this with Coravin. Beautiful garnet color, a bit more transparent than I was expecting; Nose was light cherry with some lingering leather and earth notes; Lingering finish. This wine has plenty of time left for cellaring, but with a quick decant...is very drinkable now. Great QPR!

October 30, 2020 - Pleasant surprise over what was expected given the price. More modern in style with noticeable oak notes on the nose, but that gave way to a clean black cherry and high acid. Moderate tannins. Ready to drink but could improve with time.

September 27, 2020 - Consistently good, and drinking well now. Bright fruits, sour cherry, balanced. Best value BdM that I can think of. Not as brooding and serious as some, just plain good.
