May 26, 2023 - Prior bottle was nearly 15 months ago and this wine has continued to evolve positively and even exceeded my prior expectations. Pear and melon on the nose, but this time with more white peach as well as citrus and mineral qualities. More aromatic generally and more complete than previously. Medium bodied with white apple and pear upfront, showing a good mix of more open, rounded notes and more tart, bright notes. Mid-body is where it really takes off, adding white peach along with additional depth. The fruit through the middle is more expressive than previously and works well with the melon, lemon, citrus and mineral qualities through the finish. The fruit is really well balanced by the acidity, a clear step ahead of where this wine was previously. Really impressed with just how well this wine has come together and the complexity, depth and balance it now shows. With prior bottles, I think I saw most of this, but not in as complete a fashion. This wine has several years left ahead of it and I really wish I had a few more....

February 24, 2023 - Had this off a restaurant wine list. It was more developed than it should be at this age, the likely victim of a poor cork that fast-tracked oxidization. Thankfully the acid has remained present enough to keep some structure in place. The flavors are fine and delineated, but overall it felt like like its advanced stage was forced in a way that deviated from the natural course of a dry riesling.

October 31, 2022 - Orange-y color, smells much older than its six years. Apple sauce and lemon rind on the nose. On the palate, medium minus acid, medium minus body. I think we lost the cork lottery on this bottle, but there's some aged riesling character behind it. There's still some burnt sugar, poached pear, and navel orange so maybe this is just in a dumb phase.

March 5, 2022 - Prior bottle was a year ago and my notes remained generally consistent. Nose showed pear, melon, citrus and minerals. No white peach notes this time as it was served more chilled than it probably should've been (in retrospect). Medium bodied with both white pear and apple upfront and maybe a touch of white melon. As it warms, the white peach in the middle starts to come through more cleanly and blends quite well with the melon, lemon and other citrus notes on the backside. Acidity overall continues to integrate and even when chilled like this bottle was, showed a more balanced profile than previously. I'll plan to open my last bottle in Q4 2022 or Q1 2023 and I'll be careful to serve it slightly warmer.

March 17, 2021 - Prior bottle was nearly 11 months ago and my notes were quite similar. Nose showed a lot of white pear with background citrus and mineral qualities and just a hint of white peach that got stronger as it warmed. Medium bodied with white pear and white apple upfront. Shows good density through the middle and adds white peach, but those notes are not yet as expressive as I'd hoped. Backside shows melon, lemon and other citrus notes. The transition from mid-body to finish might be a touch rounder than my prior bottle, but I would like to see the mid-body open up a bit more. I will probably open my next bottle later this year and while I think the 2015 shows its best chilled, I think the 2016 I might serve just slightly warmer.
