July 4, 2013 - Colour is quite light, caramel almost. Well evolved and although we had it with no decanting it was open and showing very well. We are not Port people so difficult for us to rate this but we found it very nice, with depth, compexity and full of life. Definitely enjoyable and time can only improve it further.

February 23, 2013 - This one blew me away. Very evoluted color: light brown to copper, similar to 2001 but clearly lighter. On nose it's intense, perfumed, with intense aromas that reminds of an armagnac along with baked apple. On palate it's complex and interesting: It has a smooth entry, candied with notable sugar/sweet palate. Palate it's pungent, carrying a brutal acidity with present but sweet tannins. I found myself staring, smelling this intringuing nose and keepin in palate this wonderful elixir as long as I could. Simply put, this was awesome. (92-94+)

January 19, 2013 - Dried apricots, raisins, toffee, teak, cinnamon apple and slight heat.
Sweet and medium bodied palate with good acidity cutting the weight. Mid-intense dried fruits, raisins, toffee and alcohol pushing all through the aftertaste.
No complexity here. Still decent fun.

December 30, 2012 - Bottled 2008: Decanted 3 hours, then returned to bottle for another 4 before consumption. Nose was full of orange and spice with very present alcohol. Tasting showed lots of almonds and more orange, while showing hot alcohol. Overall a delicious drink but not the best ive had in this price range.

October 17, 2012 - nice color. nice drink but nothing special. fairly straighforward - raisins and some nuttiness. nothing bad in this bottle; just nothing special. no wow port quality. simple drink. nice finish, not hot or overpowering - which makes sense given the rest of the character of this bottle.
