Community Tasting Notes 3

  • Krassens Likes this wine: 91 points

December 3, 2022 - Seems past its prime at this point. On the nose ripe cherries, cinnamon, hint of violets, volatility. Would have guessed it as a Nebbiolo.
On the palate quite thin, the fruit is still there but waning, tannins as well. On the sour side, notes of lingonberry, thyme, green pepper. Very lengthy, but lacking much depth. A nice wine winding down.

July 6, 2018 - Inky dark garnet. Very dense nose of leather, clove, bright cherry & raspberry. Super complexity and good balance. On the palate this is well-framed, medium bodied and offers a long complex finish. Good.
