  August 14, 2021 - Second tasting of this wine and a very positive improvement. My impression was that a little extra bottle age has not only smoothed out the wine and made everything more harmonious, but also allowed it to take on some extra heft. The brett has receded and the fruit is more vibrant. It feels much more Cab Franc than I last had it. It's still cloudy in the glass and still has a little funk on the nose and palate, but very little. Starting to feel more Chinon-esque and rather enjoyable.

  April 1, 2020 - Slightly fuzzy garnet in the glass. Bit of raspberry and something minerally on the nose. Needs a bit of air to open up, but after 10 or 20 minutes it fills out. It's still a light and refreshing mouthful. Bright acidity, but not too tart. Not much in the way of Cab Franc red pepper flavour, which isn't a bad thing. Rather, it has a light red fruit character but with a savoury tinge. Almost a bit salty. Tannins are super sneaky, appearing after several swallows. In all it is a very fresh and refreshing red. Would be great in warm weather, but don't serve it cold, as the flavour is better at room temperature. Would have loved slightly more vibrant fruit, but it is otherwise a very nice wine.
