September 19, 2023 - Delicious bottle of serious beaujolais. Crunchy dark fruits in perfect balance. Better now than my last bottle from a couple years ago. I wish Bouland was easier to find in Chicago!

August 22, 2022 - Dense, dark, brooding. Cherries and plums. A little tannic right now. A darker shade of beaujo.

December 4, 2021 - I haven’t encountered a single Bouland cru Beaujolais that has disappointed, and this is no exception. Both savory and sweet, with considerable depth, red and blue fruit, and good grip. I have a hard time keeping away from the 2017s (only a handful left) even though they are really coming into their own right now.

  • Blog Does not like this wine:

July 9, 2021 - I usually don't write multiple notes for a wine, but a ~year of aging has done incredible things for this bottling. What was a dense, dark monolith lacking acidity before is now a bright-fruited, acid-driven, beautifully developed bottle of Morgon. Plenty of structure and dark fruit still, but it is buffered by a deep mineral core and lots of floral aromatics. really nice wine.
