December 9, 2020 - Opened in honor of the D&R magnum library release of this bottling. Classic Hardy Mourvèdre. Vibrant fruit, nice zippy acidity. Full of blueberry and raspberry, with a bit of stewed strawberry on the mid-palate. Delicious and easy to down but has many years left.

PnP. Very pleasant. Smooth, medium body, goes down very easily. Interesting flavor.
11/1/20:
Decanted 2 hrs this time. And it needed it! This is still very young, but with very good length and freshness, nice balance. Liked it a lot. So I'm upping the score. Don't ask me why the first one was good with no decant, I don't know. -

April 5, 2020 - If Jolly Rancher made a black cherry candy it would taste something like this. Lots of ripe black cherry, medium plus amount of acidity. This is all primary with none of the mustiness mourvedre can sometimes bring. Very tasty.

March 12, 2020 - First red wine since my surgery...I would have been happy to just smell it. The aromatics were intoxicating. Red fruit, cinnamon, orange zest, wet stone, worn leather, moist dirt and flowers all together and one by one. Bright on the palate, precise at first, it fanned out on the finish to echo the nose.

July 31, 2019 - 12.6% abv. Dark ruby, expressive aromatics. On the palate, plum, an orchid note, mint and licorice. Deep and intense with a long aftertaste. Should continue to evolve well over the near term. I wish I had more.
