  February 13, 2020 - Appearance: deep ruby, not much rim variation, light staining, medium tearing, fine sediment.
  
  Nose: clean, medium+ intensity, strawberry, red plum, black plum, raspberry, blackberry, red bell pepper jam, violet, cedar, leather, stemmy organic earth, gravel, cured meat, smoke, toast, bitter almond.
  
  Palate: dry, high acid, medium tannin, medium body, medium intensity, medium finish, red plum, raspberry, cranberry, leather, stemmy organic earth, cedar, gravel, smoke, toast.
  
  Overall: This wine has an interesting nose, but on the palate it feels a little dilute. It has a good structure driven by acidity, and is rather savory, but I don't think it has the intensity, complexity, or finish to be really noteworthy. Fun to drink a Hondarrabi Beltza wine, but I don't feel the need to go out and buy any more.
