July 17, 2018 - Nice golden color. Medium plus nose shows immediate CA style, butterscotch, cooked pineapple, dried vanilla, baking spice, vanilla wafer, Meyer lemon. Palate shows CA notes but does have a sense of style it's own, honeycomb, baked yellow apple, Bosch pear, vanilla, then an herbal tone of lemongrass, thyme, maybe even clove. Not as buttery as expected, curious what the malo treatment is. Finish lingers nicely, medium acidity, medium plus alcohol but it's smooth. Well made.
