June 18, 2022 - Opened the other bottle for blind tasting.
Pale ruby with garnet rim. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Aromas of black olive, a little confectionery, mint, sweet American oak, vanilla, blueberry.
Dry, high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity, medium plus finish with savoury characters.
Very good wine. This bottle is better than last one. Great value! -

June 17, 2022 - Appearance: medium ruby.
Nose: medium intensity; aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco, toast, black pepper, black olive, cloves, cold dripped coffee, violet, blackberry, licorice. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus flavour intensity, licorice, sweet oak and tobacco on the palate. The finish is medium plus.
Very good wine. Can drink now, has potential for further ageing.
The above note was from my wife’s blind tasting. She thought it was new world shiraz…well in my opinion this wine is shouting out Rioja to me. Hope she doesn’t see this note. : ) -

October 12, 2018 - Klar rød gjennomsiktig farge.
Fruktig lukt med fat. Kirsebær.
Mye syre i anslaget. Merkbart smak fra fatlagring. Litt tanniner mot slutten. Relativ lang.
