November 13, 2023 - With Copper River salmon and tuna, then triple cream brie and iberico

    Lovely

Medium body, good acidity, still showing more red fruit than savoury. Nice balance

November 12, 2023 - I will call it bottle variation. Last bottle was just not good. This bottle, same source and cellaring, was very good. More like a CA Pinot than OR, medium to full body.

October 13, 2023 - A very solid value. Last of my 6 bottles. Super earthy, mushrooms, ripe berry, cola nut.

July 14, 2023 - Pop and pour. Notes from 3 hrs open. On the nose: spicebox, cranberry, sandalwood, but with a suggestion of tang. On the palate: suggestion of high acid, but somehow shows less than it intimates, black cherry, cranberry, attenuated tannin. Comes off slightly disjointed on the close, but good with food.

April 21, 2023 - Yamhill-Carlton, Oregon, 2015 Angela Pinot Noir Abbott Claim Vineyard. Similar to earlier notes. Light ruby, brick edges, fading, some viscosity (13.5 alc.); red fruit, cherries, earth, mineral, rose petal nose; low-mid acids/tannins; good structure and style; semi-long, balanced red fruit finish. w/salmon. 16.5 UC Davis scale, 91 other scales.

April 1, 2023 - Bright and lively Pinot Noir at its peak. Medium body, with vibrant acidity, fully integrated tannins, and excellent depth, with fairly concentrated fruit. This wine paired very well with beef Bourguignon, with the flavor to stand up to the richness of the food meal and the acidity to refresh the palate. Outstanding value as a $14 Garagiste mystery wine.

October 5, 2022 - My last bottle and as good and possibly better than all the others already consumed. Most likely at its peak right now.

June 12, 2022 - Magnum format ensured this gave a little extra lifespan to this wine. Lightly smokey and fruit forward and the tannins were fully integrated giving it an amazing finish.
