    October 14, 2020 - PnD let air for 1hr.

Consistent with previous note should have taken my own advice to get more. Love Garrigue on the nose. Punches above the Appellation - it’s about the producer.

May 10, 2020 - Great bang for your buck here. Nose is bold, plenty of blueberry and some plum. Very fruit forward and mouth coating, dark fruit is everywhere and a hint of pepper on a long finish. Great with a meal, I paired with a steak risotto and it was outstanding.

February 28, 2020 - Such a great wine for the price. Could almost pass for a CNdP. Lovely ruby-purple color. Arguably a bit over-extracted, but 3 hours in a decanter reveals just a whiff of barnyard, flavors of berry and cherry, and a bit of leather and tobacco.

August 21, 2019 - PnD let air for 90mins. Needs the air to show well and flesh out some of what I suspect is some whole cluster fermentation primary notes.

    Clear medium ruby.

Clean. Medium(+) intensity with aroma of black cherry iodine incense lavender licorice tar blood black pepper and blackberry.

Dry. Medium acidity. Medium(+) tannin. Medium alcohol. Medium body. Medium(+) intensity with flavours of black cherry black berry blood black pepper and garrigue.

Medium(+) finish. Very good. Drink now suitable for furthering ageing. I think there is a high proportion of Syrah given the blood and black peppr notes. Awesome complexity on the nose. Great balance and finish. WS missed on this one. great recommendation from Marquis. Like a baby CNdP. Going to get some more.

November 28, 2018 - The 2016 Grand Veneur Cotes du Rhone Rogue Reserve is loaded with spice, plum, black cherry liqueur and garrigue. This impressive effort shows excellent mid-palate depth and concentration, and is endowed with a finish that maintains rich fruit and dark chocolate flavors. A delicious Cotes du Rhone at an attractive price point.

November 28, 2018 - Lovely big value for money. Might end up being one of the best CDR ever. Still needs 2-3 h decant in a big broad Decanter at least.

October 16, 2018 - Côtes du Rhône Tasting (Chicago, IL): Tasting, brief note. Big and meaty with lots of black fruit that comes across as slightly backward right now, but I'm optimistic. Good+ length. Very good value everyday drinker.
