I never tried this in its youth, but I found this to be less vibrant than expected. I suspect BRENT25's assessment is correct that this is a couple of years past peak. April 7, 2023 - Clear deep gold; clean medium nose of lemon curd, caramel and mandarin; dry; medium plus acidity; high alcohol; full body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with a yeasty note; long finish; drink now - or better yet - a couple years ago; still delicious but past its peak and missing the vibrancy that I expect; will aim to drink future Kistlers 3 to 5 years after vintage

July 2, 2022 - Clear deep gold; clean medium plus nose of lemon curd, orange, butter, caramel and almonds; dry; high acidity; high alcohol; full body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of shortbread and apple; long finish; drink now; disappointing after sampling at winery; a little thin and shy on the palate
