December 21, 2021 - Fully ruby with the faintest maroon tinge. Lighter than the Duroché alongside. Mid red fruit on the nose and attack, an attractive earthy note, and a sense of a little development. Finely silky. This is lighter and fresher than the Duroché with more acidity providing a degree more cut and a sharper line. Lovely. More the Fourrier mould than the Duroché. Lots of interest here already — whilst vital and with time in hand this feels ready to go already. ****

November 24, 2021 - Drinks well now. Red fruit, open and ready. Some hint of very early ox. Not sure it will improve significantly...

April 21, 2021 - Young and tight at first. Showing the CLF barrel toast which is elegant. Somewhere between flower pollen and pine needle on the top of the nose, not too precise but appropriate for a village wine with an anise like spice and darker fruit undertones. The 2017 crystalline structure is at play here on the palate although filled out with a bit of roasted meat, dark berry and damp earth like Gevrey character with some creamy oak accents.

July 4, 2020 - Extremely solid showing, those 2017s are just giving a lot of early drinking pleasure. A somewhat firm-ish frame on this wine but very polished, some earth notes and vibrant blue and red fruit made this a lovely drinker during a summer BBQ. Seems very good for the level and price and a point in case that nice Burgundy doesn't have to break the bank.
