Smaak / Afdronk: Krachtige, stoere Volnay, aangename zuurgraad, serieuze trannines, Algemeen / potentieel: Op dit moment is dit een prachtig drinkbare wijn, maar wel met een veel grotere toekomst voor zich. Geduld vereist! 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Smaak / Afdronk: 16 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 91/100
Colour: Velvety medium red. Aroma / bouquet: Semi-closed and restrained, sturdy, pleasant, a hint of strawberry compote. Taste / Aftertaste: Powerful, sturdy Volnay, pleasant acidity, serious trannins, General / potential: At the moment this is a beautifully drinkable wine, but with a much greater future for his. Patience required! 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Taste / Aftertaste: 16 + General / potential: 9 = 91/100 -

February 4, 2024 - 5 hour decant in glass. Crystalline garnet w/ fallow pink edge in color. Pungent nose of raspberries, cherries, sous bois, truffle & subtle menthol. On the palate: cranberries, raspberries, sous bois & red delicious apple. Silky smooth tannins are nicely in balance, perceived only slightly on gums. Long, slightly astringent finish of red berries, sous bois, red delicious apple skin and wood spice. Agree with others INRE QPR, but its nice wine.

May 24, 2023 - Robe rubis d'intensité moyenne.
Très joli nez ouvert de fruits rouges des bois (framboise, cerise) enrobés par un élevage de qualité, chêne et clou de girofle, fumé léger.
Bouche avec une belle matière, assez riche et grasse pour un Volnay. Longueur 10 sec.
Déjà approchable et à mttendre au minimum encore 5 ans pour une meilleure intégration.1 person found this helpful Comment -

March 1, 2023 - Excellent Volnay this wine is. Sublime nose, floral and mineral, not particularly expressive at opening. The palate though immediately stuns with a sublime balance of acidity and aromatic expressions, from apples, gooseberry and some cherry, complemented with elegant hints at tobacco and forest floor.
Brilliant length without weight, well structured tannins and lightness to this wine. Young, sure, but certainly consumable and joyfully on top. So much like a lot of 2017, lovely now, good for some 10-15 years at least.2 people found this helpful Comment
